About Efinity Mortgage
Efinity Mortgage’s purpose is to simplify home buying, refinancing, building and property investment. The company was built on the belief that getting a mortgage shouldn’t feel overwhelming, and they commit to: Lead with trust, Move with purpose, and Always put the client first.
Based in Austin Texas, Efinity currently has 12 branches across four States, with strong plans for growth over the next few years.
The Opportunity
Mortgage broking is a highly competitive industry and, Loan Officers are known for frequently swapping between companies.
Together, CEO Wes Hardman and HR Manager Ashley James, decided that they wanted to have such a world-class onboarding experience that their Loan Officers would want to stay long-term, which would then give them a strategic advantage through workforce strength, stability and longevity.
The Solution
Given their mobile workforce, they expected that onboarding would be done through a phone-based app, with a very hands-on interactive experience that would actually impress their new talent.
As an experienced HR Manager, Ashley had worked with a lot of HR systems previously but hadn’t seen anything that met their requirements. They already had an HRIS and Payroll system, so they were clear that all they needed was the strong onboarding component. They gave their detailed specifications to ChatGPT and asked for recommendations.
In Ashley’s words:
The Induction App was second on ChatGPT's list, but you guys were the most responsive. And then after the online demo, we knew we’d found exactly what we were looking for.

The Implementation
Within a month of signing their Agreement, Efinity Mortgage was up and running.
As soon as their employment agreement is signed, new employees are welcomed onto the app and invited to complete all their government identification, tax and benefits paperwork in one simple online form. They continue their preparation for day one, and are guided through their first few months with their new company, team and role.
Ashley couldn't be happier.
The attention to detail in the app you’ve developed, how thorough it is, and the customer service along with it, is just first class. You just don’t see that in other systems, like Gusto and Bamboo HR.
The Results
Ashley estimates she's saving at least five hours admin per new employee, with much better visibility and reporting - which means she's freed up to do higher value activities.
Plus she knows everyone is compliant because they've completed all the right things - which gives her (and Wes) peace of mind.
Six months after implementation, new hire engagement is at a phenomenal 97% with new Loan Officers saying:
- The onboarding process was clear, informative, and helped me feel prepared to succeed
- So far everything has been great
- I love how the app checks on you and your progress
- Your team has been amazing, warm and welcoming
- Excited to get onboard and become part of the team
- The app is very easy to use. It's very informative and gives details about the company and systems.
Summing It Up
Ashley's advice to other (US) organisations:
You need to try it, because it will organise your life and it will impress new hires to the point they want to stay. It’s the face of the company, and makes them feel like we care and have it all together. Getting their feedback along the way is really valuable, it’s just great.
Ashley adds:
It also helps you keep the company moving forward, to keep improving. It's a beautiful thing.
